What I’ve been Up To

It feels like it has been a while since I last blogged. I know I took forever posting my travel adventures from early summer but for some reason or the other I never seem to get to them.

Since I got back from Europe, I’ve stayed busy. I got a job as a social media coordinator. A job that I love. I get to go to concerts practically every other weekend and I get to work with such an amazing group of people.

In September I took my father to Las Vegas. It was a father and daughter trip. His sister and husband joined us from California. We also drove to Hoover Dam. If you go to Las Vegas sometime you must go to Hoover Dam. The 45 minute drive is so worth it!

I ran the Waddel & Reed Marathon for my second time. After only a few weeks of training, I was scared, but I finished it and it felt as good as the first time. Now I’m aiming to run another one in the Spring in hopes that I can improve my time!

In October my husband and I celebrated Halloween by going to Atchison, Kansas, one of the most hunted cities in the state. They do tours all year round. The best time to go of course is in October. Just make sure you make reservations weeks in advance.

On actually Halloween Day we were in Chicago for the Go Blog Social event. GBS did not disappoint again. They had a great line up of speakers and I had the opportunity to meet some pretty cool bloggers.

We drove Friday and came back Sunday evening. We toured around and saw some cool destinations we had not been to. We visited the Adler Planetarium, the Field Museum and The Giant Bean. We went from one place to another riding a divvy bike! Saved us the hassle of having to find a parking spot for our car!

Oh. I guess in between all of the above, I managed another semester of school. This semester hasn’t been too hard. Let’s see what the Spring semester holds.

Now I’m getting ready for the Holidays. We are finally painting our living room from the ugly green color to a crisp white linen. I’m so excited! Can’t wait to show you how it turns out. I suppose I should probably take some before and after photos!

I almost forgot. I recently did just go to Dallas! I went there for a Digital Summit conference. Tons of techie stuff for work. I must say, Dallas is a lovely city. Would love to go back with more time!
