With the weather being so cold right now I’ve stayed in a lot. Sure the winter is the perfect “excuse” to gain a few pounds here and there, but I refuse to let it get out of control. I shamefully admit that I have gained 10 pounds since early December. At this rate, I’ll be gaining 10 pounds a month, which is something I would like to avoid.
I’ve done P90x and Insanity. Although those are great workouts that do target every single part of your body, I am always looking for other alternatives. I’ve found some online videos that are perfect and FREE for those that will still like to maintain an active lifestyle.
This is a quick 20 minute yoga workout. It is the perfect energizing morning workout. Whenever I finish doing this workout, not only do I feel like I worked out my whole body, but I also feel relaxed and ready to take over the world! You can do this video once or as many times as you want for a higher impact.
This workout was intense. By minute eight I was ready to pause. It probably had something to do with the fact that I hadn’t worked out in over a week. The next morning I definitely felt sore. This video takes a little over 40 minutes. It is a full body workout.
Only have a few minutes to spare? Set 10 minutes aside for this intense ab workout. You already spend 10 minutes sitting in the toilet looking at your phone (guilty!). Might as well do something productive! You can repeat as many times as you want. I did it two times and felt like it was enough. I’ll probably increase it to a third time after a couple of weeks.
Of course, there are thousands of other videos online that are free. Which means, we can maintain an active lifestyle no matter what the weather circumstances are outside.
