My quest to find the perfect hat

Who am I? What have I been doing?

You probably forgot about the girl who really loves to blog and said she’s going to blog but then decided to disappear for a couple of weeks. Long story short, I’ve been getting one sick bug after another and in between I have to to go work and school! Oh yeah, and the whole being a wife part. It has sucked.

But I’m back and I hope to never ever get sick like that ever again!

OK, so I’ve been looking for a black wool hat for about a couple of months now. I had found one at PacSun, really loved it, guilt kicked in, I dropped it and walked out of the store with a small tear in my eye. (true story) I had been checking their website for it to go on sale and well, it never did. They just sold out. My heart was broken.

Until…(tun tun tun)

I decided to walk into Ash Boutique, a cute clothing store that just opened across my job a couple of months ago. Oh my, was I in love. The owner has such great taste in clothes! The ladies there were super helpful and I told them the sad story about how I’ve been looking for a wool hat for so long but had no luck. Immediately they told me they were waiting for a few to arrive and should be coming in the next day or two. I said, “put me on the list, and I’ll be here in 10 seconds. Literally.”

So, a couple hours later they left a voicemail and told me that the shipment had arrived! It was like music to my ears. 10 seconds later, I am trying the hat and paying for it, all the same time!

The hat was so affordable! Only $29.99. I can see myself wearing it year after year. I am still in love! If it only stopped being so windy!

If you get a chance to check out Ash Boutique in Topeka, please do. You won’t regret it. They have items in there for all wallet sizes. Even my little one.

Pictures below were from a couple of weeks ago, when the weather was still nice. I’m not that brave to go out dressed like that on a 20 degree weather.
